Starting pay is $29 per hour with a Safety Bonus Program that can add up to 5% of quarterly pay for drivers who maintain a safe driving record—no preventable accidents and no major violations.

Schedule

  • Monday - Friday
  • Shifts typically begin between 1:00 AM and 4:00 AM, with an expected duration of 10 to 12 hours

Responsibilities

  • Operate auxiliary equipment and assist in the loading, mixing, unloading, preparation, and tying in of explosive products on customer sites
  • Assist in warehouse/magazine management and maintenance of all site equipment
  • Proactively manage risks and safety issues
  • Operate auxiliary equipment in support of blasting operations, including forklifts, winches, and hand tools
  • Assist in the loading and shoveling of blast patterns and projects
  • Operate heavy equipment and MMU’s as needed
  • Complete and report pre- and post-use reports for all equipment operated
  • Report required maintenance of any equipment to assure its reliability and safe operation
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain safe working conditions in shop, while operating equipment, and on blast sites
  • Maintain safe working procedures at any site dispatched to
  • Report all incidents and hazardous conditions to appropriate supervisors

This role involves spending approximately 50% of the time outdoors loading and unloading products and 50% delivering orders to customers.

Requirements

  • Class A CDL required
  • HAZMAT endorsement required; tanker endorsement is helpful
  • No preventable accidents and no more than one minor moving violation in the past three years
  • No convictions for DUI or DWI in the last 10 years
  • Must be willing to undergo and pass an ATF background check as required to be a possessor of explosives
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English, and to communicate in writing and verbally
  • Must be able to work early mornings (start time expected to be between 1 AM - 4 AM) working 10-12 hour shifts
  • Positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and a team player
