Class A CDL Driver - Local
Job Purpose
Operate a commercial vehicle to transport product and/or materials to and from company and customers properties. Requires a valid Class A CDL driver's license.

Responsibilities
- Driving semi-truck mainly pulling roll-off or flatbed;
- Securing freight to flatbed trailer with chains, binders, and straps;
- Reading maps and planning trips;
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections on equipment;
- Completing driver's paperwork (logs, trip reports, DVIR's etc.);
- Scheduling maintenance of equipment with the shop.
Requirements
- Must be at least 25 years of age;
- Must have a valid Class A CDL License with a good driving record;
- Must have at least 2 years of recent OTR verifiable tractor trailer experience (Roll-Off or Flatbed preferred);
- Compliance with state and federal DOT rules and regulations;
- Engaging personality with a stable work history;
- Ability to communicate with all levels of employees and customers;
- Attention to detail with driver's paperwork;
- Possess sufficient strength to tie down a load properly.
Qualifications and Experience
- Class A CDL;
- 2 years of verifiable driving experience.
Essential and Physical Activities
- Strength - Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. without assistance, able to push and pull up to 150lbs, Possess sufficient strength to tie down a load properly;
- Motion- Able to sit for long periods of time while driving, able to grip with hands, able to climb onto and down from the trailer;
- Vision/Hearing Requirements - Driver would need to have the ability to read road signs and judge distances;
- Work Environment - Able to drive long hours and work in all weather conditions;
- Emotional Demands - Employee expected to make quick decisions, employee must be comfortable working alone;
- Safety: This is a safety sensitive position as it requires to follow all State and Federal DOT regulations. Position is safety sensitive, as it requires working in and around live tracks and operation and repair of heavy equipment. Position requires strict adherence to safety policies (i.e blue flag) and use of all PPE.
