About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Class A CDL driver for a Delivery Service Associate position on local routes around our distribution center. This role offers daily home time, competitive hourly pay, and a comprehensive benefits package. The primary responsibility is safely and efficiently delivering products to customers using flatbed trucks and curtain-side trailers.

Responsibilities

• Operate semi-trucks and other non-CDL trucks in compliance with state and federal transportation laws.
• Transport loads safely and on time, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Maneuver trucks and trailers into loading/unloading areas, following crew signals.
• Assist with loading/unloading goods and materials, including using specialized equipment when required.
• Unload empty skids and return equipment to designated areas.
• Maintain signed invoices, shipping bills of lading, and other required paperwork; submit electronically or to the shipping office.
• Perform daily pre-trip, post-trip, and routine inspections of trucks and trailers to ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
• Verify that loaded materials match shipping documents and are in good condition.
• Secure cargo properly using straps, blocks, chains, binders, or covers to prevent damage in transit.
• Ensure proper weight distribution for DOT compliance.
• Maintain and update electronic logbooks, trip reports, and on-board computers to ensure DOT compliance.
• Communicate delivery issues to the branch immediately.
• Interact with customers in a courteous and professional manner.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License.
• Must meet all DOT qualification standards, including drug screening and a valid Medical Card.
• Acceptable driving record with no major violations in the past 3 years.
• Minimum of 3 years of similar driving experience within the last 5 years.
• At least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Employment contingent upon passing a DOT drug and alcohol test, motor vehicle record check, and criminal background screening.
