Key Responsibilities

• Transport Goods: Safely drive and deliver cargo across local, regional runs, ensuring timely delivery to clients.
• Vehicle Inspections: Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in safe operating condition, checking fuel, oil levels, tires, lights, and brakes.
• Loading and Unloading: Load and unload cargo, ensuring it is secured properly and distributed evenly to maintain vehicle balance.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logbooks detailing hours driven, mileage, and cargo details, in compliance with federal regulations.
• Customer Interaction: Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, obtaining signatures and communicating effectively with clients.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Valid CDL: Must possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License for at least 3 years with a clean driving record.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy items and endure long hours of driving.
• Knowledge of Regulations: Understanding of federal DOT regulations and company policies regarding transportation and safety.
• Route Planning: Ability to plan efficient routes using GPS or traditional maps, adapting to road conditions as necessary.

Work Environment

• Driving Conditions: The role may involve long periods of driving, including overnight routes, and working in various weather conditions.
