Class A CDL Driver Hazmat

About the role

Caron Transportation Systems USA is a bulk transportation company established in 2013 under the same ownership as Caron Transportation Systems located in Canada. Responsibilities

• Deliver bulk commodities to customers.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspection of truck and trailer.
• Loading and unloading of products.
• Utilize proper PPE for loading and offloading products.
• Ensure your assigned unit remains clean and tidy.
• Ensure that electronic logs align with federal regulations.
• Complete pre/post-trip forms and trip reports.

Requirements

• Valid CDL Class A license with hazmat and tanker endorsements.
• 3+ years of professional driving experience.
• Proven winter driving experience.
• Clean drivers abstract.
• Dry bulk transportation experience is considered an asset.
• Working geographic knowledge is considered an asset.
• Must comply with all DOT interstate regulations.
• Able to drive long distances / OTR to various states.
• Willing to work on day and/or night shifts.
• Polite and professional attitude.
• High regard for safety.
• Reliable with a strong work ethic.
• Must be able to pass drug, MVR, and background screenings.

Qualifications

• Must be able to operate a commercial vehicle and perform related physical tasks, including sitting for extended periods, entering and exiting the vehicle, and occasional lifting and movement of materials.

Skills

• Knowledge of DOT interstate regulations.
• Experience with dry bulk transportation.
• Winter driving experience.

Benefits

• $32/hr base pay with the opportunity for job-based rate increases up to $36/hr. Non-billable rate is $28/hr.
