Class A CDL Driver GP Egg Transport

Job Description

The primary responsibilities of this position include ensuring safe driving practices, adhering to DOT safety rules and regulations, operating commercial motor vehicles, and maintaining accurate records.

• Ensure safe driving practices and public safety
• Operate commercial motor vehicles safely and securely
• Comply with Department of Transportation (DOT) safety rules and regulations
• Comply with all company policies and local, state, and federal policies, laws, and regulations
• Safely operate commercial motor vehicles in accordance with all DOT regulations and company policies
• Perform and document pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Absorb and unload trailers as needed
• Ensure cargo is properly secured before transport
• Maintain accurate trip, mileage, equipment, and time records
• Report maintenance and equipment issues promptly
• Follow all company safety and Biosecurity programs and regulatory requirements
• Represent Aviagen professionally while interacting with customers and team members

Qualifications

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Valid Class A CDL
• At least 3 years of verifiable safe driving experience preferred
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong work ethic, dependability, honesty, and professionalism

About the Role

We offer Home Daily Farm pickup. Local transportation operations in the Sallisaw, OK area. Driver helpers are provided to assist in wrapping and picking up eggs at the farms.
