Class A CDL Driver

About the role

This position involves the timely pickup, labeling, loading, and delivery of shipments using the required equipment, policies, and procedures. Responsibilities include driving a tractor-trailer unit to customer locations and returning to the original domicile during the same shift, as well as loading, unloading, shipping, receiving, scanning, sorting, and stocking packages. The role may utilize heavy machinery such as pallet movers and stand-up forklifts to handle palletized freight. The position ensures customer service excellence through efficiency, dedication, and the use of technology to aid in delivery services.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload shipments using material handling equipment (MHE) such as pallet movers and stand-up forklifts.
• Deliver and pick up packages to and from residential and/or commercial properties.
• Drive a tractor-trailer unit to customer locations and return to the original domicile during the same shift.
• Label, scan, sort, and stock packages.
• Comply with UPS appearance guidelines and wear the company-provided uniform.
• Ensure safe transportation methods and efficient delivery services.
• Leverage technology to support delivery operations.

Requirements

• Class A CDL with tractor/trailer experience.
• Ability to drive both automatic and manual transmission vehicles.
• HazMat endorsement.
• Pass a UPS road test, DOT physical (including a drug screen), and all necessary background checks.
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
• Must be available to work days, nights, and/or weekends.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen, National of the U.S., an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. for this employer.
