Class A CDL Delivery Truck Driver (394)

About the role

You will ensure the safety of each delivery from departure to completion, handling both ground and rooftop deliveries.

Responsibilities

• Treat customers in a friendly and professional manner
• Conduct a safe work zone at each job site
• Adhere to assigned delivery schedules and follow job directives precisely
• Document each delivery step by taking and uploading photos using our camera phone system
• Complete a thorough load check before leaving the branch, ensuring materials are secured and the truck complies with all regulations
• Work with the Delivery Material Handler to determine material placement and unload materials
• Complete and file all logs and government paperwork accurately and on time
• Provide customers with invoices and collect payments for COD deliveries
• Perform warehouse work as assigned, including loading and unloading materials

This position does not require over-the-road travel.

Requirements

• Valid CDL – Class A or B
• Ability to lift 75-100 pounds repeatedly (common cargo includes 70-pound bundles of shingles)
• Ability and willingness to work on rooftops
• Pass a pre-employment drug screen and comply with random drug screens

Preferred experience includes straight truck, boom truck, semi tractor and trailer, and trailer-mounted forklift.
