Position Purpose

Food and food‑service delivery drivers play a critical role in the nation’s food supply chain. Drivers ensure that customers receive products on time, in good condition, and serve as the face of the company, building lasting relationships.

Primary Responsibilities

• Perform required safety checks (pre/post‑trip) and inspections of tractor, truck, and trailer in accordance with DOT regulations and company standards.
• Report safety issues, repairs, and hazards promptly.
• Inspect trailer loads for proper securing and conduct count checks against customer invoices.
• Complete all required freight paperwork accurately and legibly.
• Attach pre‑loaded trailers and drive to deliver customer orders according to the predetermined route schedule.
• Unload products, transport items to designated customer storage areas, and verify deliveries with customer signatures.
• Collect cash or checks where required, load customer returns onto the trailer, and secure trailer doors.
• Perform damage control checks, scan items, and notify supervisors of any issues per company policy.
• Secure tractor, trailer, and freight at all times; unload damaged goods and returns, completing necessary paperwork.
• Maintain a daily record of hours of service and log entries in compliance with Federal DOT, state, and company requirements.
• Perform general housekeeping of the tractor, loading dock area, and trailers; secure all equipment and complete paperwork at shift end.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
• Valid CDL‑A; must be 21 + years of age.
• Meet all state licensing and certification requirements.
• Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for the past three years.
• Pass post‑offer drug test, criminal background check, and road test.
• Current DOT Health Card or ability to obtain one.
• Ability to hand‑lift and operate two‑wheeler, lift gate, or other equipment to move and stack product cases ranging from 10‑35 lb up to 60‑90 lb.

Pay

• $5,000 sign‑on bonus (terms and conditions apply).
• $30.50 per hour base rate.
• Compensation for miles, stops, and unloading.
• Average Core‑Mark drivers earn $80,000 + ; top drivers earn $100,000 +.

Schedule

• Monday – Friday, up to 60 hours per week.
• Varied routes including intrastate, interstate, OTR, shuttle, and overnight assignments.
