Class A/B CDL Delivery Drivers

Responsibilities

• Drive to and deliver customer orders to meet scheduled customer times while maintaining adequate productivity to meet delivery schedules.
• Use an electronic timekeeping system to log time at customer sites.
• Visually survey customer sites during approach to identify hazards.
• Unload products from the truck using a hand truck, lift gate, or by hand, and place items in designated customer storage areas.
• Verify delivery of correct items with the customer and obtain proper signatures.
• Collect money (cash or checks) where required.
• Contact division management for authorization of invoice discrepancies and communicate all errors and returns.
• As requested by management, drive backhauls to pick up product from vendors and return to the warehouse for receiving, while staying within DOT Hours of Service (HOS) regulations.
• Return the straight truck to the division upon route completion.
• Perform all post-trip responsibilities, including:
  • Unloading damaged goods and customer returns and completing necessary paperwork.
  • Performing safety checks on the truck.
  • Fueling the truck as required by the division.
  • Parking and securing the truck.
  • Completing DOT logs (electronic or manual) and company vehicle maintenance reports (DVIR), and reconciling these with the appropriate company representative.
