Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment
- Perform inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications
- Apply all applicable safety regulations and PPE requirements
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Operate hand tools, shop machinery, and a hydraulic brake press
- Demonstrate excellent problem-solving and root cause analysis skills
- Maintain a strong understanding of quality systems and regulatory compliance
Qualifications
- 5–8 years of welding and layout experience required
- Extensive TIG welding experience is essential, with a strong focus on stainless steel applications
- Experience with pipe welding, including fit-up and welding techniques, is strongly preferred
- Technical diploma or associate degree in Welding Technology or a related field preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required
- AWS or ASME welding certifications preferred, or the ability to obtain them
- Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and manufacturing safety compliance
- Experience with non-destructive testing methods (visual inspection, dye penetrant testing, X-ray)
- Familiarity with applicable welding and material standards (AWS, ASME) and MTR verification
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 and quality management systems
