About the role

The PRN Courier is responsible for transporting lab specimens, mail, money deposits, and other deliverables between outreach clinics (Great Bend Clinic, Russell Clinic, Hoisington facility, and other locations). The role involves coordinating route changes for additional stops and ensuring timely, safe delivery of packages, including frozen or perishable items.

Responsibilities

• Pick up and transport specimens, packages, and other deliverables to and from clinics.
• Coordinate with hospital departments to complete pickups and drop-offs.
• Provide friendly customer service during interactions.
• Ensure package safety and compliance with transportation requirements (e.g., handling frozen or perishable items).
• Adhere to all relevant safety regulations.
• Collect deposits and deliver them to billing.
• Report vehicle or clinic maintenance needs to the clinic administrator.
• Adjust routes as needed for add-on stops.

Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
• Manual dexterity for operating standard office equipment and vehicles.
• Strong attention to detail and task-oriented mindset.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to adapt to environmental changes (e.g., temperature, noise, air quality).

Working Conditions

• Daily use of a hospital vehicle; personal vehicle may be used with mileage reimbursement.
• Functions within a normal building environment with periodic environmental variations.
• Requires sustained concentration and mental/visual focus.
