Clamp Truck Driver - Second Shift

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a clamp truck to transport, load, unload, and stage rolls of paper and finished goods.
  • Support corrugator and converting operations by ensuring timely delivery of materials.
  • Inspect incoming and outgoing materials for quality, accuracy, and damage.
  • Perform daily equipment inspections and report any maintenance needs.
  • Follow all safety protocols and required PPE standards.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and hazard-free work areas.
  • Suggest and support improvements in safety, quality, and efficiency.
  • Operate and support systems including: High-speed corrugating machinery, Robotic assembly equipment, Conveyors and batch mixers, Electrical distribution and building automation systems.
  • Show willingness to learn and grow technical skills.
  • Show willingness to work collaboratively with production, shipping, and warehousing teams to maintain efficient workflow.

Minimum Qualifications And Education Requirements

  • Minimum Educational Requirements: High School Diploma/GED
  • Job related certifications, a plus
  • 3+ years experience operating a clamp truck required
  • Preferred candidate will possess:
    • Prior experience in corrugated industry
    • Experience in a manufacturing facility is a plus
    • Associates degree directly related to manufacturing is a plus
  • Related Military training/experience prefer but not require
  • Language Skills: For safety reasons, applicants must be proficient in the English language and have the ability to understand and communicate in English
  • Mathematical Skills: Must be able to read & use a non-metric measuring tape, Must be able to count & perform simple mathematics (addition, subtraction, multiplication, & division)

Physical Demands

  • Ability to use hand tools, perform rigging, and handle materials
  • Ability stand and walk for prolonged periods and maintain balance on narrow walkways
  • Ability to operate powered industrial trucks
  • Ability to reach vertically and horizontally with hands and arms
  • Ability to climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • Frequent exposure to wet and/or humid conditions
  • Occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; and vibration
  • Exposure to a consistently loud work environment
