Our Claims team sets us apart. Our experienced Claims professionals use their specialized expertise to handle even the most complex claims seamlessly.

Responsibilities

  • Reviewing coverage under policies and handling assigned claims across multiple jurisdictions, as well as setting case strategy for these claims in partnership with colleague mentors and claims management.
  • Partner with external counsel in developing and pursuing effective and cost-efficient litigation strategies for claims in litigation.
  • Partner with our in-house legal unit on coverage issues and coverage litigation involving AXA XL.
  • Coordinating and managing communication with internal and external stakeholders (e.g., underwriters, brokers, reinsurers, external vendors, etc.) to ensure the highest level of customer service.
  • Participation in new account and renewal meetings may be required.
  • Consulting with Claims management on large losses and ensuring all steps are taken to achieve the best outcome.
  • Producing internal reporting and ensuring that reserves are set according to best practices.
  • Identifying, monitoring and reporting on emerging liability and coverage trends.

Requirements

Broad Property and Casualty claim experience including experience handling auto/transportation and/or general liability claims.

Demonstrated experience negotiating and settling bodily injury and property damage claims.

Strong communication: excellent verbal and written communication, presentation and negotiation skills.

Able to communicate and negotiate effectively with internal and external stakeholders at various levels of sophistication.

Collaborative approach: develop productive working relationships with insureds, brokers, claim handlers, underwriters and legal counsel. Seek input from others as needed to achieve the best result possible.

Capable of working and collaborating with a virtual team.

Possession of state adjuster licenses and Insurance designation(s) (e.g., CPCU, AIC, ARM) preferred.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., actuarial science, business, law, etc.).

Minimum of 5 years of relevant claims experience.

Experience in handling complex coverage issues preferred.

Pay

The U.S. base salary range for this position is $98,300 - 154,900 USD. Actual pay will be determined based upon the individual’s skills, experience and location.
