Claims Specialist (Claims Supervisor)

Responsibilities

• Conduct preliminary investigations on newly assigned matters.
• Run and submit ISO searches.
• Cook up and submit social media, background, and medical canvas searches through third-party vendors.
• Cook up contractor insurance referrals related to claims.
• Draft professional correspondence using established templates.
• Request FOIL records and Notices of Claim.
• Maintain accurate records and perform detailed data entry.
• Provide support on additional investigations and special projects as assigned.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in investigations, insurance, litigation support, claims, utility operations, or a related field.
• Strong organizational and data entry skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience handling confidential information with professionalism.
• Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure.
• Exceptional attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience conducting ISO searches.
• Social media investigation experience.
• Vendor coordination and management experience.
• Experience requesting FOIL records.
• Claims support or insurance referral processing experience.
• Utility industry knowledge.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
