About the role
The role involves reviewing and processing medical, supplemental, or dental claims in accordance with benefits, eligibility, and internal policies.
Responsibilities
- Independent research and navigation of documents and databases
- Verification of required claim documents and medical codes
- Assessment of claim eligibility and insurance coverage
- Reviewing authorizations and benefit plans for accuracy
- Identifying discrepancies or missing information
- Utilizing multiple computer applications simultaneously
- Working autonomously to meet quality and productivity standards
- Collaborating through virtual tools like Outlook and Webex
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong computer skills (Outlook, Excel)
- Attention to detail
- Organizational skills
- Experience working independently in a virtual environment
- Knowledge of medical and insurance terminology, CPT/ICD-10 codes, and claims processing (preferred)
- Reliable internet connection (cable broadband or fiber optic, at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload)
Pay
Hourly pay rate of $17.75 - $26, with potential participation in an annual bonus plan.
