Claims Representative, Auto | Property Damage

Responsibilities

• Analyze and process low to mid-level auto and transportation claims.
• Assess damage, make payments, and ensure claim files are properly documented and coded based on the policy.
• Develop and maintain action plans to meet state required contract deadlines and resolve claims promptly.
• Identify and pursue subrogation opportunities; secure and dispose of salvage.
• Communicate claim actions and processing with insured, clients, and agents or brokers as needed.
• Maintain professional client relations.
• Perform coverage, liability, and damage analysis on all claims assignments.
• Support the organization's quality program(s).

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree preferred.
• State adjusting licenses as required for the position.
• Familiarity with personal and commercial lines policies and endorsements.
• Ability to review and assess Property Damage estimates, total loss evaluations, and related expenses.
• Knowledge of total loss processing, State salvage forms, and title requirements.
• Excellent oral and written communication, including presentation skills.
• PC literate, including Microsoft Office products.
• Analytical and interpretive skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment.

Work Environment Requirements

• Physical: Computer keyboarding.
• Auditory/visual: Hearing, vision, and talking.
• Mental: Clear and conceptual thinking ability; excellent judgment and discretion; ability to meet deadlines.

Pay

The starting pay range for this role is $50,000 to $55,000, subject to applicable laws and regulations.
