About the Role

Apply your Claims Examiner, WC knowledge and experience to adjudicate complex customer claims in the context of an energetic culture. Enjoy flexibility and autonomy in your daily work, your location, and your career path. This role is hybrid with a work schedule of 2 days in the office and 3 days working from home (Portland, OR). Jurisdiction and licensing: WA.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and process workers compensation claims through well-developed action plans to achieve appropriate and timely resolution by investigating and gathering information to determine exposure.
• Negotiate settlement of claims within designated authority.
• Communicate claim activity and processing with the claimant and the client.
• Report claims to the excess carrier and respond to requests for directions in a professional and timely manner.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
• 5 years of claims management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• Professional certification as applicable to line of business preferred.
• WA licensing and jurisdiction knowledge.

• Clear and conceptual thinking ability; excellent judgment, troubleshooting, problem solving, and analysis.
• Ability to handle work-related stress and multiple priorities simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
• Computer keyboarding; travel as required.
• Strong auditory, visual, and verbal communication skills.
