Responsibilities

  • Analyze and process workers' compensation claims through well-developed action plans to ensure timely resolution.
  • Investigate and gather information to determine claim exposure.
  • Negotiate settlements within designated authority.
  • Communicate claim activity and processing with claimants and clients.
  • Report claims to excess carriers and respond to their requests professionally and promptly.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
  • 5 years of claims management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Licensing required for Southeast states; home state licensing is mandatory.
  • Professional certification applicable to the line of business is preferred.

Skills

  • Clear and conceptual thinking ability with excellent judgment and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle work-related stress, multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Computer proficiency and ability to travel as required.

Pay
