Claims Examiner - Workers Comp (ON-SITE Honolulu, HI)

Responsibilities
- Analyze and process workers' compensation claims through well-developed action plans to achieve timely resolution.
- Investigate and gather information to determine claim exposure.
- Negotiate settlements within designated authority.
- Communicate claim activity and processing with claimants and clients.
- Report claims to excess carriers and respond to requests professionally and promptly.
Requirements
- 5 years of claims management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
- Professional certification applicable to the line of business preferred.
- Hawaii workers' compensation experience and license required.
Skills
- Clear and conceptual thinking ability with excellent judgment, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle work-related stress, multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in computer keyboarding; ability to travel as required.
- Strong auditory, visual, and verbal communication skills.

Pay
The starting pay range for this role in Honolulu, HI is $72,914.00 – $80,000 per year. Actual compensation is influenced by factors such as skill set, level of experience, and location.
