Claims Examiner - Workers Comp (ON-SITE Honolulu, HI)

Responsibilities

• Analyze and process workers' compensation claims through well-developed action plans to achieve timely resolution.
• Investigate and gather information to determine claim exposure.
• Negotiate settlements within designated authority.
• Communicate claim activity and processing with claimants and clients.
• Report claims to excess carriers and respond to requests professionally and promptly.

Requirements

• 5 years of claims management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
• Professional certification applicable to the line of business preferred.
• Hawaii workers' compensation experience and license required.

Skills

• Clear and conceptual thinking ability with excellent judgment, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to handle work-related stress, multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in computer keyboarding; ability to travel as required.
• Strong auditory, visual, and verbal communication skills.

Pay

The starting pay range for this role in Honolulu, HI is $72,914.00 – $80,000 per year. Actual compensation is influenced by factors such as skill set, level of experience, and location.
