Claims Examiner - Real Estate E&O

About the role

Seeking a highly skilled and experienced Real Estate E&O Claims Adjuster to join a team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in professional liability claims, particularly in the real estate sector, and a proven ability to manage a caseload effectively.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of Real Estate Errors & Omissions (E&O) claims, capped at 120 cases to ensure quality and efficiency
• Handle claims with a focus on professional liability, including a desk that is 50-75% litigated
• Conduct thorough investigations, evaluate coverage, and determine appropriate resolutions for claims
• Collaborate with legal counsel, insured parties, and other stakeholders to ensure effective claims management
• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of all claims activities
• Provide exceptional customer service to clients and insured parties

Requirements

• 7-10 years of claims experience, with substantial professional liability experience (minimum of 2 years)
• Background in professional lines such as Architects & Engineers (A&E), Lawyers Professional Liability, Employment Practices Liability (EPL), Errors & Omissions (E&O), or Cyber Liability is highly desirable
• Experience in handling real estate-related claims is a significant advantage
• Candidates with a background in legal defense for real estate agents are encouraged to apply
• Ability to work independently and manage a low caseload effectively
• Licensure is not required, but preferred

Pay

$110,000 - $125,000 per year
