Responsibilities
- Manage auto property damage and subrogation claim files.
- Investigate property damage claims, determine liability, and pursue subrogation opportunities to recover costs from responsible third parties.
- Prepare files for reassignment as needed and handle claims to conclusion.
- Authorize and/or approve all claims payments within delegated authority or company policy limits.
- Determine proper policy coverages, investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and equitably settle assigned claims cases.
- Document and establish timely reserves, execute claims payments, and provide recommended actions for payments beyond delegated authority.
- Conduct settlement negotiations with claimants, policyholders, and/or their attorneys.
- Initiate and conduct follow-ups using claims handling diary systems.
- Proactively assist others in achieving organizational objectives.
Qualifications
- 2+ years' experience in insurance/claims required.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently, independently, or in a team.
- Strong research abilities and interpersonal skills.
- Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
Pay
$45,750.00 - $64,050.00 Annual
