About the role
The Pennsylvania Treasury Department seeks a Claims Examiner to help reconnect Pennsylvanians with their unclaimed property. This role involves reviewing claim submissions, verifying documentation, and assisting claimants.
Responsibilities
- Claim Review: Examine claim forms and supporting materials for accuracy and completeness.
- Ownership Verification: Evaluate records and documentation to determine rightful ownership.
- Claimant Assistance: Respond to inquiries and explain requirements through phone and written communication.
- Documentation Guidance: Provide clear instructions about missing items or next steps needed for processing.
- Record Management: Maintain organized files and ensure information is documented correctly.
- Process Integrity: Apply policies, laws, and procedures consistently to protect the claims process.
Requirements
- Two years of experience in general office work and high school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to hear and understand phone callers, articulate clearly and loudly, and use Microsoft applications.
- Physical ability to sit for prolonged periods and work within time constraints.
Qualifications
- Preferred: Call center customer service experience, experience reviewing claim documentation, and familiarity with Microsoft applications.

Benefits
- Full-time employment with flexible work arrangements including telework after training period.

Pay

Schedule
