Duties and Responsibilities

  • Checks emails from clients and insurance carriers.
  • Answers phone calls.
  • File Various Claims on behalf of the client (worker’s Compensation, auto, and general liability, cargo etc.).
  • Regularly update client on “open” claims and other status changes.
  • Contact claims adjusters regularly regarding claim status, taking thorough notations.
  • Other administrative tasks as assigned.
  • Works off of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, and Microsoft Word.

Qualifications

  • Familiarity with commercial lines of insurance, and the associated terms.
  • Preferred, 2 year of prior experience or present relevant experience.
  • Experience with talking to claims adjusters and relaying needed information.
  • Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to talk on the phone and keep up with changing demands, ability to prioritize.
  • Provide updates to clients with no grammatical errors.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
