Essential Functions/Responsibilities
- Aid clients in claim reporting by setting up best practices, gathering necessary information, assessing potential coverage, and filing claims on their behalf.
- Offer ongoing guidance and oversight for unresolved, intricate claims. Facilitate communication between clients and carriers, advocating for prompt and favorable resolutions.
- Analyze policy language to identify all possible avenues for coverage. Thoroughly examine all coverage options, challenging where necessary.
- Perform comprehensive client onboarding to establish internal claim administration processes. Participate in claim reviews to outline disposition strategies and share financial updates, providing continuous support to meet client needs.
Technical Functions
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products: Excel, Word, Outlook
- Advanced understanding of property/casualty insurance, including coverage forms, legal matters, and claim procedures
Required Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field; equivalent work experience
- Property & Casualty license (or ability to obtain)
- At least 5-8 years of experience in the insurance industry, preferably in a Claims or similar role
- Demonstrated qualities: strong sense of urgency, meticulous attention to detail, exceptional organizational and time management abilities
- Ability to operate independently with minimal supervision while also collaborating effectively within the team and contributing positively to MJ’s culture
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills; professional demeanor
