Claims Business Analyst (with experience in AI Enabled P&C Insurance)
Role Description
Job Title: Associate Principal - Consulting
Role Summary: Experienced Claims Business Analyst Functional Consultant with strong P&C Insurance domain expertise supporting Claims Development build enhancement initiatives for clients across multiple Lines of Business. The role requires a blend of deep Claims functional knowledge and hands-on AI enabled ways of working using Copilot GenAI to accelerate the requirements to user story lifecycle. The BA will lead requirement elicitation, solutioning, and story creation while driving AI infused productivity and quality.
Key Domain Functional Requirements
- Strong P&C Insurance domain experience with relevant certifications
- Hands-on experience with P&C Policy Billing Claims systems with Claims specialization
- Good understanding of core functions: Quote Policy, Claims Billing, Rating, Coverage across multiple Lines of Business (Commercial Lines, Excess Surplus, Personal Lines)
- Strong knowledge of PAS features, UI screens, workflows, triggers, rating algorithms, forms, and documents
- Experience in requirement analysis, system design, solutioning effort estimation, and sprint planning
- Experience in Agile iterative development environments
Ai Enabled BA Expectations (Client Specific)
- The role goes beyond a traditional BA. The BA must be hands-on with AI tools to accelerate the delivery lifecycle.
- Hands-on experience using Copilot GenAI to Convert business requirements into BRDs using Copilot.
- Drive BRD to user story creation through an AI infused process.
- Familiarity with AI infused reusable templates, accelerators, and the ability to articulate and demonstrate the process to the client.
- Distinction between the two BA types: Traditional BA manually elicits requirements and authors BRDs, user stories; AI Enabled BA uses Copilot GenAI to convert requirements into a BRD then translates the BRD into user stories in an AI infused manner.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Gather and manage client requirements e.g., JAD sessions
- Develop, analyze, and document business functional and non-functional requirements
- Create client focused documentation, wireframes, use cases, business rules leveraging AI Copilot for acceleration
- Convert requirements into BRDs and user stories using an AI infused approach
- Participate in system design and configuration activities
- Perform and coordinate effort estimation and support sprint planning
- Support testing and training efforts
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert for Claims
- Lead and coordinate with onsite, offshore, internal, and client business teams
- Provide mentorship to team members

Variable Compensation: This position includes a bonus or variable payout component based on individual and organizational performance. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, performance, and internal equity.
