About the role
Positions in this job family are assigned responsibilities auditing claims, business records, and other documents to determine or verify compliance with laws and regulations. Advises claimants concerning the interpretation and application of statutes and regulations pertaining to the claim.
Responsibilities
- Performs office audits of claims, other business records, and documents to determine or verify compliance with laws and regulations.
- Advises claimants concerning the interpretation and application of the statutes and regulations pertaining to the claim.
- Maintains records and submits oral and written reports concerning cases and activities.
- Confers with attorneys, accountants, and other professionals in administering the laws and policies of the state and/or agency.
- Performs other related work and duties as required and assigned.
Requirements
- Education and Experience: An associate degree in business, accounting, finance, public administration, law, or other relevant field of study and three (3) years of qualifying experience in business, accounting, finance, public administration, law, or other relevant experience, or a bachelor’s degree and two (2) years of relevant experience.
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies required at this level include knowledge of telephone and computer etiquette; working within a team environment; and computer office software, Microsoft Office Suite, desk tools. Skill required at this level include skill in keyboarding; and 10-key (keyboard or adding machine). Abilities required at this level include ability to provide customer service; maintain accurate records; compose professional letters and e-mails.
