Responsibilities

  • Embrace change, lead by example, and maintain a positive work environment and ongoing learning culture.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure the implementation of streamlined processes, quality, and timeliness standards set by commercial lines management.
  • Review incoming applications to ensure accurate product placement.
  • Engage with external carrier partners.
  • Professionally communicate with agents as necessary.
  • Accurately input new business into the system to ensure proper policy rating.
  • Modify policy information during the policy term based on requests from agents, insured parties, and underwriters, and accurately generate updated policy details and premiums as required.
  • Keep policy documents up-to-date and well-organized in document storage according to company standards.
  • Mitigate risk by conducting various research and lookups to support underwriters in their decision-making process.
  • Review renewal accounts to verify that the proper renewal process is accurately executed.
  • Distribute change-in-condition letters to identified high-risk accounts.
  • Work cross-functionally within our agency.
  • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to detail.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED (minimum qualification).
  • Six months of insurance-related experience (preferred).
  • Microsoft Office and data entry experience (preferred).
  • Property/casualty insurance background and jewelry industry experience (preferred).

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Occasionally required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or touch objects or controls, and talk or hear.
