Civil Transportation Project Manager

Responsibilities

  • Lead transportation projects from initial planning and design through construction and project closeout
  • Develop and manage project scopes, schedules, budgets, staffing, and deliverables
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, agencies, stakeholders, and project partners
  • Lead and coordinate engineers, designers, and other technical team members
  • Maintain project financial performance, schedules, resources, and overall project delivery
  • Provide technical oversight and review transportation plans, reports, drawings, and other deliverables
  • Ensure projects meet applicable agency requirements, design standards, codes, and quality requirements
  • Identify project risks and resolve technical, schedule, budget, and client issues
  • Support proposals, client development, and pursuit of new transportation work as applicable

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline
  • 10+ years of civil/transportation engineering experience, including project management responsibility
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • Experience managing transportation design projects, budgets, schedules, clients, and technical teams
  • Knowledge of roadway/transportation design principles and applicable agency standards
  • Experience working with DOT, municipal, or other public-sector transportation clients preferred
