Civil Superintendent (Nationwide Travel)

This is an evergreen opportunity supporting upcoming solar and BESS EPC projects across the U.S. Civil Superintendents are placed on project sites for the duration of the build (typically 8–12 months) and then transition to the next project. This is an on-site, field-based role with working hours Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm local time or other hours established by the site. Overtime and weekend work will be required as needed. Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States; sponsorship is not available at this time.

Travel & Relocation

100% nationwide travel is required. You will relocate to project sites for 8–12 months at a time. Candidates must be comfortable with a project-to-project travel lifestyle.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct civil construction crews and subcontractors on-site
• Ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards
• Coordinate personnel, materials, and equipment to meet project timelines
• Support planning and execution of construction activities and means and methods
• Monitor project progress and identify risks, issues, and solutions
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards (HSE, SWPPP, SPCC)
• Oversee quality control, inspections, and adherence to project specifications
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Construction Managers, and field team

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of professional experience supporting the construction of major projects, preferably in power stations, supply networks, or other utility-scale construction
• Experience in civil construction scopes (grading, roads, drainage, foundations, etc.)
• Experience managing crews, subcontractors, and field operations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools (MS Project preferred)
• Strong understanding of civil construction methods and installation practices
• Willingness to travel and relocate full-time (100% nationwide)

Physical Demands

• Able to climb and maintain balance on ladders, scaffolding, stairways, etc.
• Stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or work at elevated heights as well as in confined spaces (towers, vessels, excavations, etc.)
• Able to walk or move continuously while carrying 50 lbs. of tools and/or materials (assistance recommended for items over 50 lbs)
• Must be able to stand or walk for long periods of time

Pay

The salary range for this position in Irvine, CA is required by the California Pay Transparency Act and may differ depending on location. Actual compensation is influenced by factors including internal pay equity, skill set, education, licenses, certifications, geographic location, essential job duties, and experience relative to the minimum qualifications. A discretionary bonus or incentives may also be offered as part of the overall compensation package.
