About the role
We're looking for a Civil Superintendent to support our data center project in Saint Francisville, LA. The Civil Superintendent is responsible for overseeing and managing all field operations related to civil construction activities, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with environmental regulations. This role requires strong experience with stormwater pollution prevention (SWPPP), environmental compliance, and preferably data center construction projects.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise all civil construction field activities, including earthwork, grading, utilities, drainage, and site development.
- Coordinate daily operations with project managers, subcontractors, inspectors, and field personnel.
- Ensure strict adherence to project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
- Implement and manage Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP), including inspections, documentation, and corrective actions.
- Maintain full compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations, including erosion control, sediment management, and permitting requirements.
- Conduct routine site inspections to ensure safety, environmental, and quality standards are met.
- Lead jobsite safety meetings and enforce company safety policies and OSHA requirements.
- Review project drawings, specifications, and contracts to ensure accurate execution of work.
- Coordinate inspections with regulatory agencies and ensure all required documentation is completed.
- Identify and resolve field issues proactively to avoid delays or cost overruns.
- Mentor and manage field crews, providing leadership and performance oversight.
- Collaborate closely with owners, engineers, and stakeholders—especially in mission-critical environments such as data centers.
- Oversee subcontractor performance to ensure alignment with project and environmental requirements.
Requirements
- Minimum 6+ years of experience in civil construction, with at least 2–3 years in a supervisory or superintendent role.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience managing SWPPP programs and environmental compliance.
- Strong understanding of site development, including grading, utilities, stormwater systems, and erosion control.
- Experience working on data center, mission-critical, or large industrial projects preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and schedules.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and construction best practices.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working on hyperscale data center projects or similar high-demand infrastructure.
- SWPPP certification, environmental compliance training, or related credentials.
- Experience with project management or construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6).
- Familiarity with local and federal environmental agencies and permitting processes.
- CPR/First Aid and OSHA 30 certification.

Pay
The base salary range for this position is $92,000.00 to $126,500.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
