Civil/Structural Engineering Intern
About the Role
Dewberry's Peoria, IL office is seeking a Structural Engineering Intern for Summer 2027. This position is designed to develop professional work knowledge and abilities through assignments that apply standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out related engineering tasks.

Responsibilities
- Work on a wide variety of projects including schools, healthcare centers, higher education facilities, office buildings, industrial and commercial buildings, structural evaluations, civil/site structures, and water/wastewater treatment facilities.
- Assist with preparation of civil/structural engineering calculations, reports, construction drawings, and specifications to meet project requirements.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering (focus in Structural Engineering preferred).
- Exposure to related Civil/Structural engineering design.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with multiple deadlines.
Skills
- Proficiency in REVIT and AutoCAD.
- Good working knowledge of MS Word and Excel.

Pay
Salary Range: $18.75/hour - $29.75/hour. Depending on skills, experience, location, and market conditions, the range may vary slightly.
