Responsibilities
- Fieldwork to document as-built conditions and damage to structural systems
- Perform failure cause & origin analysis on building systems
- Author technical reports
- Conduct construction litigation
- Evaluate design drawings and documentation
- Communicate with clients, interface with code officials, and contractors
- Provide detailed reports
- Manage multiple project assignments
- Execute projects on time and within budget
- Retain and develop client relationships
- Travel, as needed, on short notice
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or Architectural Engineering from an ABET accredited program
- Minimum 10 Years Structural Engineering experience in design or other backgrounds promoting an understanding of structural behavior
- State of Colorado Licensed Professional Engineer through NCEES examination
- Knowledge of national building and construction codes (ICC, ASCE, AISC, ACI, NDS, etc.)
- Knowledge and experience of structural engineering concepts, principles, and practices
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Experience in providing Litigation Support including Expert Testimony at Depositions and/or Trial, Mediation and Arbitration proceedings, desirable
Qualifications
- Knowledge of multiple types of construction
- Field experience
Skills
- Licensed Professional Engineer in Colorado
