Primary Responsibilities
- Manage a team of engineers and designers
- Develop and maintain client relationships
- Manage all aspects of project efforts and interface with clients; this includes making presentations to clients & municipalities (when necessary)
- Prepare budgets and proposals
- Supervise and perform site development & design tasks: plan preparation, grading, permit applications (including FDOT and Water Management Districts), report writing, etc.
- Contribute to stormwater management design: Hydrologic and Hydraulic (H&H) modeling, Erosion and Sediment Control (E&SC) planning, etc.
- Engage with regulatory agencies
- Assist with RFQ responses
- Mentor junior-level staff
- Provide quality control of staff design & reports
- Additional duties may be assigned, as needed
Basic Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in an Engineering-oriented discipline (preferably Civil Engineering)
- Professional Engineer in the State of Florida
- Experience managing staff and clients
- Excellent communication skills (verbal & written)
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency with engineering tools (e.g.: CADD, project management software, etc.); expertise with AutoCAD Civil 3D strongly preferred!
- Experience with stormwater management (SWM) design calculations, especially while utilizing H&H modeling tools; experience with ICPR is preferred
- Proficiency on standard office software applications: Microsoft Office 365 (especially Word, Excel, and Outlook), Adobe Acrobat, etc.
- Proven ability to look at the "Big Picture" as well the project goals in order to coordinate various design disciplines accordingly
- Proven ability to work in an energetic & challenging team environment as a collaborative Team Player, especially while maintaining the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Proven ability to demonstrate problem-solving skills, especially when working on a variety of projects while providing solutions to difficult issues
