About the role

The Civil Rights Legal Fellow will provide legal support to the organization in advancing its mission through litigation and advocacy.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct legal research and analysis on civil rights issues
  • Prepare and present legal arguments in court
  • Collaborate with other departments to develop and implement strategies
  • Advocate for policy changes that promote civil rights

Requirements

  • J.D. degree from an accredited law school
  • Admitted to practice law in at least one state
  • Experience in civil rights litigation or advocacy
  • Strong analytical and writing skills

Qualifications

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Passion for civil rights and social justice
