About the role
Bolton & Menk has an exciting opportunity for a Project Engineer, PE to join our Regional Sewer & Water Services team in the Twin Cities Metro. This is a fantastic chance to work with a talented team of professionals and make a lasting impact on the communities we serve.
Responsibilities
- Assisting the Bolton & Menk RSWS Team with preliminary planning, design and construction phase activities on infrastructure projects.
- Researching and preparing preliminary reports and feasibility studies.
- Aiding in project design and developing plans and specifications, preparing quantity take-off estimates, and project cost estimates.
- Assisting with informational meetings to explain construction impacts to clients and their residents.
- Aiding with construction administration duties such as providing general oversight, attending progress meetings, reviewing submittals, preparing contract change documents, preparing pay applications, and interacting with contractors, sub-contractors, and client staff.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering from an ABET accredited post-secondary institution.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.).
- 5-10 years' progressive experience in municipal or infrastructure design.
- Experience in plan and specification development with construction contract administration.
- Working knowledge and skills in CAD and design software (i.e. AutoCAD Civil3D, MicroStation).
- Possess a valid driver's license as travel to various facilities and job sites may be required.
Qualifications
- Self-motivated with a high capacity for learning and applying knowledge of sewer and water utility engineering to a variety of projects.
- Strong interpersonal skills to develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and staff from various agencies.
Skills
- Proficiency in CAD and design software (AutoCAD Civil3D, MicroStation).

Pay
$75,000 - $120,000 depending on years of experience and credentials.
