About the role

Bolton & Menk has an exciting opportunity for a Project Engineer, PE to join our Municipal team in our Baxter office. This is a fantastic chance to work with a talented team of professionals and make a lasting impact on the communities we serve.

Responsibilities

  • Manage planning, scheduling, and performance of multiple engineering projects and personnel, both design and construction
  • Work closely with Project Managers to understand client needs and expectations
  • Review and/or prepare preliminary reports and feasibility studies
  • Read and interpret engineering plans, specifications, and reports
  • Provide technical advice regarding design, construction, or modifications and repairs to clients, contractors, and other staff members
  • Absorb assistance with business development activities (client needs, research, proposals, etc.)
  • Coordinate construction administration and monitor documentation requirements with field staff

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university
  • Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Minnesota
  • 4+ years' progressive experience in the civil engineering field, including experience working with municipal infrastructure (preferred)
  • Experience in plan and specification development with construction contract administration
  • AutoCAD Civil 3D proficiency
  • Knowledge of MnDOT requirements

Qualifications

  • Possess a valid drivers license as travel to various facilities and job sites may be required

Skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Pay

Salary Range: $68,000 - $120,000 depending on years of experience and credentials
