The Engineer Intern will learn engineering tasks working in collaboration with the design team to complement the academic knowledge gained during their course of study.
Responsibilities
- Working in collaboration with the design team to assist in the preparation of technical reports, analysis/calculations, and construction documents.
- Aid in the preparation of permit applications and submittal packages to Agencies having jurisdiction.
- Coordinate with permitting agencies, utility providers, contractors, and other parties associated with the project.
- Periodic travel to perform site investigations and construction observation.
- Review of specifications and shop drawings, field observations, preparation of inspection reports, and other construction administration tasks.
- Research, interpret, and implement relevant codes and client requirements.
- Implement and utilize CPH and client standards and templates.
Requirements
- B.S. in Civil/Environmental Engineering and/or working towards obtaining a B.S. in Civil/Environmental Engineering from an ABET accredited institution.
- Required Skills/Abilities:
- Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- AutoCAD experience is a plus.
- Ability to exercise critical thinking and good independent judgement.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team.
- Good social, communication, written, and organizational skills.
- Ability to effectively multitask and work on multiple projects while adhering to project schedules and budgets.
- Detail-oriented, quality-conscious, reliable, and self-motivated.
Pay
