About the role

A Civil Journeyman is responsible for multiple tasks of civil construction including site development, form, concrete, block laying, carpentry, drywall installation and finishing, framing, metal roofing and siding installation and repair, and rod-busting work. Our Civil Journeymen primarily operate on an Industrial work site, where safety is a primary focus.

Qualifications

  • Experience performing Industrial Projects required (Chemical, Pulp & Paper, Heavy Industrial)
  • OSHA 10 & 30 Training preferred

Requirements

  • Arrive at work on time, as scheduled, consistently, reliably, & complete each shift
  • Follow all safety rules and standards for the company and for the site
  • Understand and follow Instructions from the direct supervisor

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma
  • 5+ years industrial civil construction experience

Physical Profile Requirements

  • The job requires occasionally remaining on one's feet in an upright position without moving for long periods of time

  • The job requires the ability to raise or lower an object of approximately 5-50 pounds from one level to another

  • The job requires the ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, 20 pounds of force frequently and a negligible amount of force constantly so that an object moves away from the force

  • The job requires the ability to operate a standard 1/2-ton pick-up for occasional delivery and pick-up of materials and personnel and hold a valid, unrestricted motor vehicle operator's license issued by the state of residence
  • The job requires the manual dexterity necessary to operate a standard desktop computer keyboard
