Civil Investigator- Part Time

Duties
- Conducts & assists with covert & overt investigations of activity for civil prosecution (e.g., conducts on-site, computer, database, telephone and/or internet searches; locates and interviews witnesses, victims, suppliers, informants, and suspects; collects, inventories, examines, evaluates & preserves evidence; assumes covert identities)
- Plans, executes & coordinates investigative activities with federal, state, and/or local law enforcement agencies (e.g., assists prosecutors & law enforcement officers; prepares witnesses, obtains witness statements & affidavits; calculates victim damages & develops settlement options; prepares & serves subpoenas; testifies at administrative & court hearings)
- Reviews, analyzes & correlates case documents
- Prepares & maintains case logs, investigative reports, summaries & case recommendations
- Participates in inter-office & multi-agency task force & working groups
- Presents educational information to public & private groups & enforcement agencies
- Participates in investigative workshops, conferences & training
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Requirements
- Completion of an associate's degree or higher in Criminal Justice, Political Science, Accounting, Business, Finance, or other related field
- Minimum of twelve (12) months experience completing background, criminal, or civil investigations
