Civil Foreman

About the role

The CSP Civil Foreman leads a team responsible for the installation of civil structures and activities, ensuring safety and quality. This is a hands-on position requiring travel.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Participate in safety meetings and toolbox talks.
• Follow SOPs and adhere to company and industry standards.
• Ensure good housekeeping and complete Safety Observation Cards.
• Verify material deliveries and sign Material Transfer Forms.
• Use heavy and support equipment safely and follow proper procedures.
• Maintain a positive company image and lead a team.
• Keep company-issued tools and equipment in good condition.

Supervisory Responsibilities

• Oversight of field-level operators and laborers.
• Lead and mentor junior crew members.
• Provide material requests to the Civil Superintendent.
• Ensure compliance with environmental standards and plans.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements

• Minimum 8 years of Civil Construction experience.
• Minimum 5 years of Civil Supervision experience.
• Solar experience highly preferred.
• Journeyman Operator license or verified experience.
• OSHA 30 certification.
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings and design plans.
• Experience with JSAs, work permits, and basic math skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment

• Must be able to sit, stand, bend, twist, and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Requires physical labor and travel/overnight stays.
