Civil Foreman
Your Role
Thorough knowledge of general construction and civil sitework safety standards and practices.
Responsible for enforcement of safety standards with own crew and others on worksite.
Thorough knowledge of the planning, layout, and execution of excavation, backfill, and installation of underground piping/utilities (ductile iron piping, PVC piping, HDPE piping, reinforced concrete piping, precast structures).
Ability to provide accurate layout for line and grade, from established benchmarks.
Competency in working with deep excavations required the use of trench boxes and other earth support systems.
Competency in working with basic groundwater dewatering systems, to support excavation/utility work.
Ability to operate heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, backhoes, dozers, rollers, etc.
Working knowledge of job cost report and labor production report review and analysis.
Thorough knowledge of corporate quality control program.
Ability to take direction and manage multiple people.
Excellent oral communication skills.
Ability to read drawings and specifications.
Basic computer knowledge.
Your Education And Experience
Minimum of 5 years of industrial construction experience.
Current licenses applicable to the trade.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicable hydraulic operation and/or hoisting licenses, desirable.

Work Environment/Physical Demands
Ability to lift 50 pounds.
Ability to stand for extended periods of time, and safely maneuver around the nearby presence of various construction equipment and vehicles, on an active construction site.
Prepare to regularly encounter moving mechanical parts, high precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, and a variety of outside weather conditions.
Able to climb temporary or permanent stairs, and ladders.
Able to bend, squat, kneel, crouch, reach, balance and stoop on a regular basis.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Pay
Pay range: $45-55/hr.
