Civil Engineering Technician/Drafter

About the role

The Civil CAD Technician provides drafting and design support for the Civil Engineering Department during the planning, design, and construction phases of each project. This role utilizes AutoCAD to translate markups into drawings, check and plot drawings, correctly label final drawings, and update contract drawings.

Responsibilities

• Utilize AutoCAD to translate markups into drawings
• Check and plot drawings
• Correctly label final drawings
• Update contract drawings
• Set up and maintain standard drawing files in accordance with company drafting standards as applicable to each project
• Obtain work assignments of specific design elements from Design Engineers
• Help ensure schedule
• Review all work for completeness and accuracy
