About the role
The ideal candidate would bring at least 1 year of Project Management experience (or 5+ years of engineering experience) in water & wastewater pipeline and/or facility design.
Responsibilities
- Manage projects from planning through delivery, collaborating with project members, multi-practice teams, subconsultants and other stakeholders to make sure deliverables, requirements, schedules, costs and meeting plans are communicated.
- Aid in development and management of project scopes, budgets, and schedules.
- Support preparation of scopes of work and budgets.
- Conduct studies, prepare reports, and read/develop construction plans and specifications.
- Manage and work collaboratively with multi-discipline teams and subconsultants.
- Cookordination of project deliverables, management of project budgets and schedule, and identification of issues.
- Manage quality assurance and control analysis to ensure projects meet or exceed client expectations, Halff requirements, and comply with recognized standards and codes of practice.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external clients, understanding their needs, and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
- Monitor project budgets, allocate resources effectively, and identify opportunities to optimize project efficiency and profitability.
- Apply technical expertise appropriately by understanding project specific standards, criteria, deliverables and best practices.
- Support construction administration of projects and lead or assist permitting efforts.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to engineers, EITs, and technical staff, fostering a culture of trust and collaboration within project team.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master’s degree in civil engineering or ABET accredited equivalent engineering degree (preferably in civil or environmental engineering).
- Professional Engineer License (PE) in the State of Texas.
- Water & wastewater treatment, pump/lift stations and water storage experience desirable, but not required.
- Must be proficient with conducting studies, preparing reports, and reading/developing construction plans and specifications.
- Previous experience in coordinating project deliverables, managing project budgets and schedule, and identifying resolution of issues.
Qualifications
