Civil Engineering Project Manager

About the role

Direct‑hire Civil Engineering Project Manager position in Pittsburgh, PA with a potential hybrid schedule (one remote day per week) and an optional 9/80 schedule (every other Friday or Monday off). Base salary range $135,000 plus bonus, benefits, paid holidays, and PTO.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage multidisciplinary design teams across engineering projects.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring clear communication and strong relationships.
• Develop, manage, and forecast project budgets and schedules.
• Coordinate internal teams, subconsultants, and external stakeholders.
• Oversee technical deliverables, ensuring quality and adherence to QA procedures.
• Lead meetings, presentations, and proposal development efforts.
• Review and approve invoices, design changes, and project documentation.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and team development.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• 8+ years of relevant engineering experience.
• Strong background in highway and/or structural design.
• Proven ability to lead teams and manage complex projects.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and client‑facing skills.
• Experience with budgeting, scheduling, and proposal development.

Pay

Base salary range: $135,000 plus bonus (BOE), benefits, paid holidays, and PTO.

Schedule

• Hybrid schedule with one remote day per week.
• Optional 9/80 schedule offering every other Friday or Monday off.
