Responsibilities

  • Assist in testing procedures and equipment such as gradations, proctors, nuclear density gauges, DCP field testing, sand cone density testing, field concrete testing, and concrete cylinder testing.
  • Conduct field testing and observations of construction materials, including concrete, soils, aggregate, masonry, asphalt, and reinforcing steel.
  • Communicate with project managers, clients, and contractors at work sites.
  • Participate in real-world projects, helping develop and apply practical skills using various testing procedures.
  • Receive one-on-one mentorship from experienced professionals to guide through project challenges and career development.
  • Collaborate with teams across geotechnical, environmental, and construction disciplines to gain cross-disciplinary exposure.
  • Attend training sessions and engage in networking opportunities to shape career trajectory.
  • Take part in leadership workshops to enhance soft skills and prepare for future roles in the industry.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, or a related degree.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to frequently lift and carry 30-50 pounds.

Benefits

Pay transparency: Base compensation is expected to be in the range of $20 - $21 per hour. The selected candidate must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.

Physical Demands

  • Regularly talk or hear.
  • Frequently stand; walk; use hands or fingers, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
  • Sometimes sit; climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
  • Frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50-100 pounds.
  • Occasionally push or pull equipment weighing up to 200 pounds.
  • Frequent work outside.
