About the role

As a Civil Engineering Intern for Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) in the Monroeville, PA office, you’ll perform civil engineering tasks supporting project teams to assist clients across a variety of industries. You'll have the opportunity to work across various disciplines including Geotechnical, Civil/Site and/or Solid Waste. Housing assistance is not provided, therefore local candidates are preferred. CEC is consistently ranked as a Top 500 Design Firm and Top 200 Environmental Firm by Engineering News‑Record.

Responsibilities

• Perform civil engineering tasks supporting project teams.
• Work across disciplines such as Geotechnical, Civil/Site and/or Solid Waste.
• Acquire practical experience applying knowledge from college courses.
• Learn from industry experts.
• Collaborate with multi‑discipline teams across functional groups and locations.
• Develop a robust professional network through social events and interactive activities.
• Collaborate closely with a mentor in your discipline to tackle real‑world challenges.
• Participate in workshops to foster interpersonal skills and prepare for success in a full‑time career.

Requirements

• Current enrollment in an undergraduate Civil or Environmental Engineering (or related) program.
• Legally authorized to work for CEC in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Qualifications

• AutoCAD experience or GIS experience.
• Technical writing skills.
• Prior internship and/or related survey experience preferred.
