About the role

LandDesign is a collaborative group of landscape architects, civil engineers, planners, and urban designers that approaches projects with unique expertise and diverse perspectives, aiming to create places that matter. The firm is currently searching for a summer (2027) Civil Engineering intern to join its Alexandria office. As an intern, you will support civil engineers with a broad range of project assignments.

Responsibilities

Support civil engineers with a broad range of project assignments.

Qualifications

Rising junior pursuing a Civil Engineering degree or comparable degree from an accredited university.

Skills

• Excellent communication skills
• Basic understanding of grading, drainage, water + sewer design
• Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Willingness to learn about land development

Pay

Paid position.

Schedule

40 hours per week; anticipated start date end of May 2027, runs through early August 2027.
