Civil Engineering Intern

The Civil Engineering Intern will report to an assigned Project Manager or Principal. The Intern’s main responsibility is assisting project managers and technical staff with project work and organizational activities.
Responsibilities
- Works directly with a mentor in your field of study while finding solutions to real-world problems.
- Prepares preliminary analysis on a variety of technical tasks.
- Performs routine analysis to check accuracy of data and work products.
- Assists in the production of engineering drawings and calculations.
- Organizes files and documents.
- Supports staff members in the organization by completing tasks as delegated.
- Completes basic engineering calculations for review by other team members.
- Reviews their own work to ensure completeness and quality.
- Communicates effectively with team members.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Ability to learn new software quickly.
- Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing internally and externally.
- Ability to listen, understand, and retain information and ideas presented verbally and in writing.
- Organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities under deadlines.
Qualifications
- Engineering student with a focus in a related engineering discipline.
- High attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills.
