Civil Engineer - Transit

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the production and delivery of transit design projects with a particular focus on, but not limited to, Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) and Light Rail Transit (LRT) projects.
  • Corridor concept development.
  • Aid in public outreach efforts.
  • Transit evaluation.
  • Multidisciplinary coordination required.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills essential.

Qualifications

  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) License (or ability to obtain within 12 months).
  • 4+ years of transit-focused engineering experience including:
    • Transit corridor design experience, focused on (but not limited to) BRT and LRT modes.
    • Track/guideway design.
    • Roadway design.
    • Station design, including park-and-ride facilities.
  • Outgoing, self-motivated team player.
  • High level of proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Experience communicating and working with clients.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to balance priorities among multiple projects.

Pay

Salary Range: $105,000 - $170,000
